Noticing the good that someone does doesn't excuse what they're doing that's bad. Just because someone feeds you, protects you, lets you have fun and for the most part keeps you out of harms way, it doesn't mean that they get to do one or two bad things because the scales are already off on the end of good. That's like saying "I don't care if they enslave or kill one or two people as long as the rest of us are all having a good time."
