So the more important question is how to tell if we're alive or dead if we can't actually die. Or, for that matter, if we're actually us and not some kind of creepy clone version while the real us are in laboratories somewhere. [ Like in The Matrix. ]

[... he couldn't decide if he liked that explanation or not. He plodded forward, looking for the door.]
But it doesn't matter. Whether we're alive or dead, we still have things to do and protect, right? So that's good enough.

But! [ And her tone gets a little more peppy. Because she does agree with Sokka on this, dead or alive. ] You're right about it not really mattering yet anyway. It might sound like a crazy, overly-optimistic dream to you, but I want to get out of here with my memories in tact and find a way to keep the pathways open so that we can all visit each other. So eventually it will matter how we exist here, but for now you're right. We just have to protect each other and I've got something of an idea for that. I'll tell you another time, though.

[He can't sound cheerful about it, though.]

[At least the door is only... a football field's worth of a walk away. It's doable!]

So what happens if we don't end up normal sized again?

[It's not a question he's going to take seriously. Because it's dumb. They'll get back to their old size!]

[ She gives him a weird look, then heads straight for the door to see if it works! ]

[Fair enough. Now that they're at the door.]
Good luck. See you on the other side!
[He crawls under it and vanishes. Unfortunately, this is where they get separated to separate destinations.]
