[ Ohai Yuri is looking pretty serious! Not that she usually looks silly, she just.. looks like she's got an idea. It's not a bad thing, of course. First things first. ]

Sokka! I need to talk to you in person ASAP! Scorpius, you too, but after Sokka. [ Yuri thinks Sokka would probably object to what she needs to ask Scorpius about, after all. ]

Geez, and he didn't even tell me. [ She sighs, resting her chin in her palm. ] So who are you and what's airball?

[Considering the state he was in, Aang's not surprised.]

He had a lot on his mind. [But the other topic is a welcome change.] My name's Aang. I'm from the same world as Sokka. And airball's a special game that my people, the air nomads, played. It uses Airbending and it's really fun!

I'm Yuri Nakamura. Yuri or Yurippe are both okay. Nice to meet you. [ And that's the moment when Yuri realizes she never really asked Sokka anything about himself or his world, despite that he's her unofficial information guy. ] --What's Airbending?

I'll go with just Yuri. Nice to meet you, Yuri! I guess Sokka never told you much about bending. [He does tend to get stuck on the subject of trusty boomerangs.] In our world, a lot of people have the ability to bend one of the four elements. I'm the Avatar, so I'm the only one who can bend all four, but I was raised an Airbender. Airbending involves controlling air in a bunch of ways.

[He makes a small ball of air in his hands over the video feed as a demonstration.]

Does that mean you can fly? [ This is very important to her interests. And might be saving someone else from getting shot through a cannon. ]

I have a lot of moves that are kind of like flying but they're more like boosts through the air. I can kinda fly with my glider, too.

[ And Yuri's pointing up. ] Could you go up here to check how far the barrier extends upward?

Sure! I can actually use my pet sky bison, Appa, for that.

Great! That'll be of a lot of help if you could do that-- I'm imagining a buffalo with wings and I'm guessing it's not that.

Not exactly. He flies with his big tail, but he does mostly look like a big buffalo. But I'd be glad to take him up for you!

Wait, he's here!?

Oh... yeah! He got here late, just a few weeks ago.

It's been almost three months now. I had to go a while without him.

I wonder if they usually send pets over. There weren't any pets in my world so I know I don't have anything coming. [ Otherwise Shiina probably would've passed on of cute, she's pretty sure. ]

I think they do most of the time. Our flying lemur, Momo, was already here when I arrived. I think he was brought here with Sokka. It's too bad you don't have a pet of your own, animals are really great companions.

If there were pets where I was it'd be pretty depressing. No one actually likes movies about dead dogs.

I don't get it.

I need to stop forgetting not everyone here knows I'm dead.

You... you're... ? [Pause.] I'm sorry, Yuri. I... didn't know.

I've been dead for a while, I'm used to it. [ A shrug. ] I'm also probably the only dead person here who's aiming to go back to it. I've got things to do.

I'm from an afterlife for a very specific crowd.

I think I might have an idea of what you're talking about. Do you help people who are still, uh, alive?
