[ Ohai Yuri is looking pretty serious! Not that she usually looks silly, she just.. looks like she's got an idea. It's not a bad thing, of course. First things first. ]

Kind of a mouthful, don't you think? Not to mention the part where pathway tend to -- more often that not -- turn into big giant interdimensional sink-holes.

But trust me. I'm no fan of the Malnosso. Not by a long shot. But it's patently ridiculous to suggest that the Third Party might not really be an enemy.

That's why it's just the "SSS." Anyway, I'm not saying it's perfect but if you don't have a goal you're not going to get anywhere. I'm not some kid who just decided I was going to try fighting out of nowhere. I'm not new to this, I'm just... [ She almost looks amused for a second. ] An idiot leading a band of idiots who are willing to try, no matter how long it takes. I'm prepared to keep going for as long as it does, but if I'm going to set goals, I might as well set them high.

If the Malnosso can send us home as they have proved that they can do using the shifts, then that means that it's possible for us to figure it out too. It's better than sitting around saying "We tried, I guess it's best just to go along with it and hope we don't get experimented on and maybe someday go home and leave everyone here who cared about us without a word."

From what I've heard, no one knows anything about them outside of that they try to attack us and we try to attack them. I'm not saying that they're friendly, but I'm not prepared to just assume that because we're told someone's horrible or because we're told someone's good that it's accurate.

They're out to permanently murder everyone in these enclosures. That's not hearsay. That's what their leader told me -- all on his own. [ before she sliced his wings off. ]

Huh. See, that's a lot better than what I've heard before in terms of information. This is why I talk to lots of people. Did he say why? It doesn't really matter in terms of it being bad, but if we know why then that's a powerful tool if we understand where they're coming from.

Death, he said, is preferable. To this. The Cultists are under the impression that they're doing us a big damn favour.

Death isn't preferable to anything. Someone should let them know that the actual dead people think so. I definitely qualified for an opinion after my 5th or 6th time getting taken out.

[ Yuri's the kind of person who keeps going even after everything gets taken from her. She didn't want her life to end, even after everything, and it'd take a lot to change her mind of that. ]

We should come up with a list of adjectives when we get to list their crimes against existence. There's no way to talk them into actually helping us fight the Malnosso instead of killing us off?

[ that's her plan. she simply needs to meet up with her old friend again and see if the bit of shine she took of his corpse works like an adequate bargaining chip.

That's the problem with a cult, Yuri. They're usually not open to negotiations.

So there's no way around the kill or be killed scenario?

There's a way to tag the Cultists, now. But that just delivers them into the Malnosso's hands. But some people prefer letting others do the dirty work.

[ That wouldn't take the blood off of someone's hands. Not in Yuri's eyes. She doesn't blame other people for it, but.. she's never killed someone. Not really. She's gone through the motions, sure, but only on other dead people. It hurt, but they always get better. They left the NPCs alone because they weren't dead, they didn't know what would happen to them. ]

[ It's a slightly awkward answer, but Yuri doesn't want to say anything specifically about her feelings regarding that. Yuri's got to decide how she personally is going to have to figure out how to deal with that problem. Even if it wouldn't be murder so much as warfare, maybe even self-defense, there's a huge difference between that and blood that washes off easily. She can't say anything on a whim in regards to it, she's not going to go all idealist about it. ]

Sometimes, anyway. [ Yuri's jokes include pushing people off of buildings and making jokes about being dead and getting killed, so her sense of humor isn't necessarily anything spectacular. She does value honesty though. ]
