Since the whole place is in shambles anyway, does anyone with building skill want to help me make a new building for a coffee house? I'm willing to work as long as whoever I'm working with actually knows what they're doing, because I don't.

[ A beat of silence before she completely changes gears. ]

Also: I've got a ref and at least two players signed up, but I want to hold a beach volleyball tournament when things are less wet! I'll need at least two people to wear bikinis and aprons to hand out refreshments and lots of participants.

[ At any point during the day after this post, one might find Yuri wandered around town looking for a good spot that she wants to set up shop. She's wearing something different than normal, a nice green coat that she'd received as a gift quite some time ago, and it almost looks as though she's about to give up--

No, she's just heading off to get out of some of the mess to take her socks off, since they're pretty much just getting covered in mud and mess anyway and making her a lot more uncomfortable than if she had bare legs. Sure, it might not be as warm, but it's not itchy at least. ]

I know you just have to hit the ball over the net and not let it touch the floor? And you've got to try and land it on the other side to win, that too.

That's the basics of it. Beyond that, there are three basic ways to hit the ball and you have to keep the ball within the boundaries. If you hit the ball outside of the lines, then the other team gets it. Likewise if they hit it out of the lines on your side, you get it.

[ That's probably about the same way that Yuri plays it. ]

..You're right, I should probably ban speedos. No one wants to see those.

I don't think anyone will come in a speedo by choice anyway, everyone seems to wear shorts when they swim. Or it was like that at that New Feather party in the dome anyway.

If you didn't have to hit it in the lines, you could just punch it and knock it 100s of feet away with no chance for anyone getting it.

Now that you've said it someone will. Haven't you ever been taught about the "couldn't get worse" jinx? Now if someone shows up in a speedo, it's your fault. Officially!

Well, you're learning about it now. And you definitely can jinx it. Jinxing occurs on accident, after all. If you do it on purpose it won't work. Like saying "There's no way I could get a million dollars" won't get you a million dollars. But if you have a million dollars and say "There's no way I could lose this in three days" it could totally happen.
