I'm going to hunt down your baby pictures and make giant posters of them for the whole of Luceti to gawk at.

Kyrie said she gave the pictures to you, so I was going to sneak in. I might as well just do it anyway at some point for fun.

[he frowns a bit.... a lot of his baby pictures has his mom in it.]

I don't.... have them here in Luceti though.

[ Uh oh touchy subject. His face says as much. ]

Do you want them?

Huh-....? Aahh.... no no, it's fine! I'd rather not look at them, especially when Kyrie-san is around...

Say the word and I'll stop plotting to gang up on you with her, you know. I don't know all about your family situation, obviously, so if you ever want me to back off you have to let me know.

[He blinks, smiling a little at that.] Thanks Yuri.... I thought Kyrie-san was my step-mom for years, but it turns out she's my real mom. But the mom that I grew up with died when I was twelve.

The majority of my baby pictures has her and me in them.... Kyrie-san sent them all to me right after she died. I think I stared at them in my room for a long time since I missed her so much.

I'm not sure if that's nice or not. Getting to see all of that when you miss someone hurts, but it might've been better in the long run if it gave you some way to keep remembering her. I guess it depends on how you took it.

Mmm... I looked at it as... a pretty sad thing at the time. Especially because she wasn't even in the ground yet and my dad was setting up marriage plans to marry Kyrie-san.

No offense, but your dad's kind of a scumbag. I don't know about Kyrie's part in it, but it sounds like she might've been at least trying to give you something to remember your mom by as a peace offering or.. something.

[ At the very least, she likes Kyrie enough to give her the benefit of the doubt. ]

Well.. I still am pretty mad at my dad for that but-... [he shook his head.] I know all about how much Kyrie-san hated my mom, and how much she hated me for years. She was jealous of me my entire life- basically because I represented what my dad had with Asumu before.

Things have changed now at least.... I can't call her mom just yet though.

At least she seems to like you enough now. I'm a little jealous, even if it was rough for you back then.

Hah- why would you be jealous of that?

[ She hasn't told him yet. This is.. an interesting way to bring it up. For some reason Battler had been someone she'd been holding off on telling. ]

When I was younger, both of my sisters and my brother were murdered in front of me. I could've saved them, but I couldn't accomplish what I was told to do and the one thing that I had found I tripped and broke. Ten minutes for each one and the police came right after 30 so the only kid surviving was the one who was in charge of the other three and couldn't even manage something simple like finding something worth money in the house.

[ Yuri's kind of tugging at a book on a bookshelf, not really taking it out. ]

I'm glad that she's here and you two are getting another chance, jealous or not.

[Ah....oh.... that's a pretty touchy subject, definitely. He's seen his family die countless times and he was responsible for trying to bring them all back... and he still hasn't been able to do that. Battler nods, frowning a little bit.]

That would be tough yeah.... I know what it's like to see them all die and feel helpless- especially when the witches did that to me over and over again. I'm glad she's here too, along with my sister. My sister killed herself for me back during the fourth game but-... she's from a different time than me so it's good that she's alive.

I know. You told me about what happened to your family. I wanted to let you know.. I know how much it hurts to lose your family.

[ Her tone shifts to a little more chipper. She's bad at sharing her feelings, but with Battler a part of her felt like she had to on this part. ]

So you'd better not lose the opportunity to connect with them here or I'm going to be really pissed at you, got it? Just enjoy being a family.

[he's just staring at her for a moment.. and then he nods, smiling.]

Yeah! I plan on it. It's still hard to call her mom but, I hope I can do that one day!

Maybe once you get back, you can finish off what's going on in your world and find a way back here so you can be with them. Or find a way to bring them back with you.

[Right... he was going to get his family back. Ange wanted him to do that and he intended on completing what she wanted him to do since she killed herself for him.]

I will, they'll all be free after I'm able to go back.

A...anyways! Um... all in all- I'd appreciate you not copying baby pictures of me with my mom in them....
