I'm starting to think waking up in strange places every time I get seriously injured is becoming a pattern. Is this the second phase of the afterlife? Level 3?

[ Yuri put one hand on her hip, shifting her weight to the opposite. She was still in that little sundress thing, wings still new, back still sore, but based on her gait? She already looked like she thought she owned the damn place.

She reached up and scratched her head slightly with the hand that wasn't on her hip. God it felt weird without her headband. Maybe finding her headband should be her number one priority. Seriously, she never went around without that thing, it felt weird. No, no, she probably should figure out where she is.

Journal first? She hadn't even looked at that thing yet. She opened it up and after poking around a bit, she decided to make a post. While walking through town in just her little dress, because she really doesn't care that much. ]

It's cold out here and I have no idea what's going on.

[ The dullest look on the planet, because really, this is getting ridiculous and she misses her thigh highs. They're warmer than this. Not a second later, she's got a tone that sounds pretty damn commandery. ]

[ Didn't she recognize... Ah, then he turns to video. Yuri blinks a couple of times, frowning. ]

What are you yelling about? You just saw me a few hours ago, you look like you just saw a ghost!

[HA. HA. HA no Yuri stop that. Otonashi would totally laugh (maybe) but he's too surprised at the moment. Yuri's here?]

For you, maybe. For me it's been months. [And a few more months for Naoi.] When did you get here?

Months!? How can it be months, I wasn't down there that long! [ Yuri frowns. ] I woke up maybe 30 minutes ago? I thought I was going to end up an NPC like Takamatsu, but I woke up here. Unless this is what happens to your soul when you end up an NPC? What if I'm physically still back in the afterlife wandering around like a weird soulless NPC thing and just living life normally? I'm not going to disappear if I'm not there to stop it, am I?!

...Then again, I guess if you've been here for months that's not possible. [ She uses her free hand that isn't holding the journal to run it through her hair. God it keeps getting in her face her headband was what made her hair so ridiculously perfect all the time even when she did backflips and crazy stunts. ]

AHHHHG! What the hell is going on!?

[End up an NPC like Takamatsu... Well, that clears up what time point she's from. So she comes from a time before that of Otonashi's, and Naoi's from after. What is he, an Oreo? Ah well. He'll just let Yuri have her rant while he tries to figure out a way to explain this all to her. Uh.]

Geez, just calm down for a minute! [He sighs.] You're not going to disappear, so don't worry about that. Like I was saying, this place is called Luceti. It's a completely different world from our own, and even the afterlife. But basically, time works differently here, so it's kind of like time in the afterlife has stopped. Nothing's going on over there right now. That's how I've been here for months -- since November -- without you knowing it. [Or without months passing by in the afterlife, but whatever.] It's January here now.

...Also, we're alive here.

[It feels so weird to be explaining everything to Yuri right now. After all, when he arrived in the afterlife, she was the one lecturing him.]

Like zombies or just.. magically alive for no reason whatsoever?

[ Deep breath. This is getting ridiculous. ]

Either way, I don't really care if time doesn't flow here. This isn't really a good time for a vacation.

[ A huge part of her needs to get back. She needs to protect everyone. ]

There's a way to get out of here right?

I sure as hell hope we're not zombies... [...hnnng] It's pretty much the latter, I guess.

And bad timing or not, well... there isn't any way to get out. At least, as far as we know. There's a barrier that surrounds the village here and keeps us from getting out. These people called the Malnosso are the ones keeping us stuck inside of it. [Sorry to break it to you, Yuri..]

[ She's smiling. She's smiling that smile when she's got a plan already and why the hell didn't you think of it already, moron? ]

So it's basically the same thing as the afterlife, except getting stabbed is an extra bad idea, and if we find a way to take out these Malnosso guys then we can go back?

Well, not completely... People get brought back to life after dying here too, but it takes about a week, I think--

[...Oh god, she's smiling. She's only been here for 30 minutes and she's already doing that smile and she's suggesting those things, isn't she...]

...You're not seriously suggesting what I think you are, are you?

Well obviously I'll have to look around a bit more and figure certain things out, but I'm not going to sit around while I've got something important to do, whether time's frozen back in the afterlife for me or not. You've got important things you were doing too, right? From the sounds of it, no one actually wants to be here. So unless someone else is already working on doing something about it...

I don't know if anyone even knows where the Malnosso are. And if they're outside the barrier, how the hell are we supposed to do something like that?! [That's not to say that Otonashi supports the idea though, because Yuri you're crazy and this is a terrible idea but he'll probably end up going along with it anyway because you're Yuri and ughhh dammit.]

And it's not like we have everyone else's support, either. It's just you, Naoi, and I that are here.

[ Did you expect anything else, Otonashi? Really? Say goodbye to any form of peaceful life you had here... ]

When I started the SSS it was just Hinata, me, and a hope that God might exist. This puts me up one person and a confirmation that the enemy actually exists! I'd say we're in the positive and it probably won't be hard to get other people behind our cause.

[His life as he knows it is now over, isn't it...]

I guess you do have a point there... [..dammit. This is going to suck. 8|] I'm still not too sure about this though.

[..And then he'll add-] By the way, where are you? [She's probably freezing right now. May as well go find her.]

Why? Is there something you'd rather be doing here? I thought you had something you were dedicated to doing.

[ Really, Otonashi? ] Next to the one building and the other building. [ She has no idea where she is. ]

[If by 'something' you mean graduating and then confessing his undying love for Kanade then yeah sure he has a lot to do--]

Not really, but... How are we supposed to fight them when we can't even reach them? Nothing can get past the barrier, you know. [..He really doubts Yuri cares but hey, it's worth a shot.]

And that doesn't really tell me anything... Do you see any numbers on the buildings?

[ She has no idea if he even got everyone else to disappear, she's been underground for a bit okay?? ]

Did you try every single spot around the barrier? We can check it for weaknesses if no one has. You and Naoi can start on that while I get acquainted with everything.

I probably could if I looked. [ In other words, she may or may not be ready to come get collected just yet. She wants to find her clothes first. ]

[Clearly she should get out more.]

..Every single spot? Do you even know how big it is? How are we supposed to check every inch of it? We can't even reach as high as it goes. [Rocket chairs are not an option.] Besides, people have been here for years, so I'm sure plenty of people have already tried.

We'll I'll get more members, obviously. I can just assign you a specific area if you have a map. It'll probably be easier that way. [ If Hinata was here, they would be. ] Haven't you ever been outside of a classroom door waiting with a bunch of people because everyone says the door's locked, so you didn't bother to check? Then it turns out it was open the whole time because everyone thought that everyone else had checked?

I'm going to find my clothes. We can get them back, right? What about weapons?

And Otonashi didn't really care for school before anyway so...] Yeah, I guess. But still; it's not like they spent years trying to figure out how to get in. And the other day, I heard some guy was actually attacking the barrier. [...sigh.] But alright. I guess it's worth a shot anyway.

Your clothes should be in the clothing store or item shop. That's where I found mine, at least. [Wow she's already talking weapons...] And those are in some weapon shop. [Easy enough.] Those are all in the plaza, as well as pretty much everything else.

[...He should probably ask about living arrangements... And mention Yotsuba. Uh. How should he go about this..]

Who was it? It sounds like he's at least got the kind of fighting spirit we need. If we attack the barrier in different places, we can test for weak spots.

[ Violence is always the way to go, Otonashi, haven't you learned that yet? Especially violence with weapons. ]

What's something that'll tell me when I get in the plaza?

[ Probably a good idea to bring it up, before she tries to just kick someone out of their apartment. ]

I... Uh... [Give him a moment so he can think about this um.] ...I don't remember. The ends of the barrier are pretty far from the village, so I didn't see him doing it; I just heard about it.

When you see places that aren't houses or community buildings like shops and restaurants, you found it. [...] --Oh, there's a fountain in the center too.

Also, are you going to be staying with me and Naoi? We have an apartment in one of the community buildings. ...Though I guess if you do, we should try moving into a house since there are only three rooms in the apartment and I doubt any of us want to share rooms. [Like hell he's going to share a bed with Naoi-- If Yuri does the math, she'll realize that means there would be more than three people staying with them..!]

That can be your mission then-- find out who that guy was and recruit him.

A fountain, okay. [ Yuri looked like she was about to yell at him for crappy answers that bordered on when you see it, you'll be there, but he saved himself with the fountain comment. ]

[ 3 rooms should equal 3 people, but since there's not enough room according to Otonashi, it's not hard for her to figure out. ] Who's the other person?

[...What. He'd complain about having to find this guy, but Luceti isn't that big; he shouldn't be too hard to find. But.. Recruiting? OTONASHI HAS NEVER RECRUITED SOMEONE BEFORE..]

How am I supposed to do that? [Teach him your recruiting ways...!

Talk to him, ask him why he was trying to break the barrier, then tell him there's a group getting started that's trying to get out of here and we'd be honored if he wants to work with us. If he says no, bring him to me.

A kid? [ Pause. ] You and Naoi are living together and you adopted a kid? How many months have you two been here again?
