Anyway, that part isn't important. I need to know if anyone's good with building minor electronics? I want walkie-talkies that are handmade so that I can reach people across Luceti on our own frequency.

Other than that, I've got more of a philosophical question.. or maybe existential? Some hard to answer topic. If they can erase our memories of the past few days then what do we have to prove any of our memories are real?

Way I see it, we can't prove something we can only see.

You could argue that if several people share a memory, then it happened. But they could have just implanted the memory in those people.

Honestly? We don't have anything save our own belief. Belief is sometimes more important than reality though.

What do you have to prove any memories from before coming here are real?

[A pause and a small intake of breath.]

A-ah, I apologize! I have been reading the... um... journals these past days, and... everyone seems so worried about losing memories because of these... Malnosso. But nothing changed. All you had to prove anything was real at home was yourself and the words of others. You might have been dreaming your entire life each time you woke up. So why worry? It... is disturbing, yes, but if we all forgot at the same time, maybe it was for the best. Even if we forget yesterday, we still have today.

Even if it's all some kind of dream, it's my memories that make up who I am and are the only thing that's kept me going for years. So even if it's fake to begin with, I'd rather not lose any. I'll keep to the fake I started with, but if these guys mess up my memories beyond that I'm not really okay with it.

Though I think.. somehow, even if I had fake memories it wouldn't feel right. There's something about what I do remember that does.
